About Danube Alert

Danube Alert is an application developed by SC ARC MEDIASOFT SRL, designed to provide up-to-date information on Danube water levels, both for regular users and subscribers. The application facilitates water level monitoring and provides customizable alerts based on critical levels established by the Danube Commission.

The data is obtained through official sources, such as DanubePortal, Lower Danube River Administration (AFDJ), National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA), and weather data provided by OpenWeather.

About the Alert System

Danube Alert includes a customized alert system for users. It allows continuous monitoring of water levels and sends notifications when certain thresholds are reached. Alerts are configurable and can be sent via Discord, email (SMTP), or WhatsApp, depending on each user's preferences.

Types of Alerts

• Critical Level Alerts: Users receive alerts when the water level approaches a certain critical value defined by LDC (lowest acceptable level) or HDC (highest acceptable level), with a configurable threshold, by default set at 80% of these values.
• Custom Alerts: Each user can set a specific water level at which they want to receive an alert. This threshold is fully configurable and can be changed at any time from the alert panel.
• Continuous Monitoring: The system avoids repetitive alerts and sends notifications only when the water level reaches 10-15% of a critical threshold or the user-set value, with a margin of error of 2% to prevent false alarms.

Notification Methods

Danube Alert supports multiple notification methods, ensuring that users receive alerts in a way that is convenient for them:

• Email: Notifications are sent directly to the user's email.
• Discord: Users can choose to receive alerts through Discord servers.
• Telegram: Danube Alert also supports Telegram, where users receive instant information.
• SMS and WhatsApp (coming soon): SMS and WhatsApp alerts will be available soon, providing even more notification options.

Advanced Alert Management Options

Danube Alert offers users an intuitive, 100% responsive control panel that can be accessed from any device. Users can:

• Configure alert frequency: Avoid notification overload by setting a maximum number of alerts per day.
• Adjust alert thresholds: Determine how close to the LDC or HDC the water level must get to trigger an alert.
• Customize alert types: Choose between email, Discord, Telegram, and soon SMS/WhatsApp.
